Scholarship in Italy are need + merit based. So, whenyou secure admission in any Italian public sector university, you qualified forfirst semester merit. For need-based requirements, your family in come must beless than 20k Euros a year.
Scholarship requirements can be different dependingupon your university, but generally if it’s a University in Milan then iteither require a simple affidavit/just filling scholarship form or if youruniversity is in any other city, then you will have to follow the followingprocess.
1) In case you get admission in any university in Milan then youhave to submit selfmade affidavits in scholarship office through email/inperson.
2) If you get admission in any other region except Milan. You willrequire the following documents.
• FBR Family income and property certificate of last year
• Then attestation from MoFA is required
• Then Verification from the embassy in Rome/Consulate in Milan Then document submission in regionaloffice.
Scholarship either gives you hostel or covers rent(for which you have to submit rental contract). It exempts you from any tuitionfee and will return you your first installment at the end of the first academicyear. It will provide you free lunch or grocery tickets. In addition to that ahealthy stipend for any other need.
Then studying here is hard, like 6-8 hours of classper day, and you must pass credits to save scholarship.
IELTS is neither mandatory nor embassy requirementfor visa for last 3 years. Some universities ask for it for specific programsso check course admission requirements. I didn’t do IELTS but giving it willmake you eligible for university merit scholarships, which are separate fromGovt Scholarship. But students here prefer Government Regional scholarshipscalled DSU over university merit scholarships, as you can have only one ofthem. But in case a university offers hostel with merit scholarship, I’d preferthat. Additionally, if you secure University merit scholarship, that makes yourVisa file process a lot easier as the University will give you funding letterwhich you will submit with your file.
At the end I will suggest you join some Facebookgroups as follows, where you can find plenty of information and helpingseniors. Once you get admission in any university, it’s best to find a seniorfrom that institute as they can guide better from their experience.
